A large UK power transformer manufacturer needed serious throughput for oil filling and processing inside production windows. TransVolt specified, supplied, delivered and commissioned a fully containerised GlobeCore filtration and high-vacuum dehydration plant with roots blower, two-stage vacuum set and integrated control panel.

Two 30 MVA, 33/11 kV export transformers at a UK energy-from-waste plant had elevated moisture. TransVolt proposed and is supplying TOR-4 online molecular-sieve drying for continuous treatment in service, together with a CMM-0.6L portable dehydration and filtration unit for the rest of the site's fleet, with a fire risk assessment for the installation.

After a Buchholz trip and gassing history, TransVolt reviewed the DGA, SFRA and electrical results, then had the active part removed from the tank at a repair works for inspection. The root cause was a loose bolted connection on a tapping-lead link on one phase, with carbonised crepe paper and discoloured copper confirming the overheating. The report gave the owner a clear basis for the replacement decision.
